2019年12月23日 · Good luck with catching a Fox in that trap. I've tried catching a Fox in a similar trap for months. I caught a menacing Raccoon (in a smaller trap) that would climb the coop and walk on the roof, , looking for a way in. I caught it after a week or two.. A 22 between the eyes = no blood loss. The trap will still need cleaning.

2009年12月9日 · The fact, no point was intended, is that red fox are a heck of a lot harder to box trap (with standard sized traps) than are gray fox, especially juveniles. I catch a lot of red fox yearly, and in 60 + years of trapping have only ever caught 4 reds in standard sized box traps.

We even saw the fox attack a squirrel that has gotten in the trap was still alive. I then figured out what you do is place a #2 coil spring trap in front and along side the box trap (now that the fox is acclimated to that trap).

2008年10月4日 · Grays is another story. I have only ever caught 4 reds in box traps - 3 juveniles and one adult male with a broken lower jaw - poor thing was starving to death. Do a search on 'drift fence fox box trapping'. Prophet posted some information about a technique that he uses. You might also want to do a search on 'snaring red fox'.
