2022年12月25日 · The bigger question is whether or not Daemon isn't merely an anti-hero. Given his actions throughout House of the Dragon Season 1, an argument can be made either way. He starts off by being a hateful figure, with poor anger management, seeking to sit on the throne himself and using his position as Commander of the City Watch to spread violence.

He truly loves and stands by Rhaenyra and his family, and he's willing to do what's necessary and doesn't pushy foot around or weak spine it. I could also see where people say he's not so good of a guy but with good qualities/capabilities.

Despite his faults and the fact that he is clearly a problematic character, there are clues throughout the first few episodes that point to the fact that Daemon Targaryen isn't as bad as perceived.

Daemon is absolutely a "morally grey" character... The issue at hand, is whether he also has a compromised understanding of ethics. For the record, I would argue that Daemon is deeply ethically flawed,... but will maintain that his personal understanding of morals may never have been compromised by his actions.
