In comparison, the cheapest Harley Davidson, the Iron 883 is $13,193 with ABS after freight and surcharge. I've always argued that the R18 is a poor cruiser when you're comparing it with the significantly better Softail Slim.

2020年10月1日 · Since the R18 is a camhead/head, why wouldn't the topic be included the camhex head section like the R nine T, especially since it shares some cross over parts from the niner. I looked at one yesterday and was surprised to see the oil cooler radiator the exact same cooler as on my Urban, although the cover over it is different.

2021年10月3日 · Picked up my new 2022 BMW R18 Bagger a couple of weeks ago. Just took it for the first service yesterday. On my first ride out, the warning indicator was telling me to get the bike to service. It went out automatically after a few hours and never came back. The service department checked and didn’t see any issues.

I'm bummed about the small tank size compared to the B/Transcontinental, but don't want a 10k price jump for another two gallons.

2024年1月8日 · BMW motorcycle recall for headlight concern BMW is recalling 2,369 of its 2021-2024 BMW R 18, R 18B, and R 18 Transcontinental motorcycles because the headlight low beam attachment points may break, shifting the reflector out of position, and provide insufficient illumination. The remedy is currently under development.

2020年2月29日 · At the risk of offending some, the R1200C was one of the ugliest motorcycles ever produced - by any manufacturer. BMW learned their lesson and the R18/2 is, in my most humble opinion, a very attractive cruiser bike. I predict steady and impressive sales numbers. Even, perhaps, to those current BMW owners who also own Harley cruisers.

2022年6月17日 · Not R18 related though do wonder what bmw will do next with the r1250 line. Not certain I can see them jumping the shark and going up to a r18 engine. Simply seems too big for a touring frame r1250rt layout. Do like the new bmw thought on an electric motorcycle via via making it an 'opposed twin' loking layout design.

2022年7月20日 · It also has wide range of after-market accessories available. Unlike R18, where even a small bolt cost like $32 because of BMW logo. I had my R18 for 5 months now, I won't be keeping it for long. As good as it is to ride, it's just not very practical. One would need a second bike or a scooter for everyday rides with an R18.
