I think the '64 would beat a '63 in a drag race, but that's not a big deal to me as that's not how I would drive the car. Hopefully, the Car Gods will smile upon me and present yours truly with another opportunity to buy a nice 1963-64 Coupe Deville for a reasonable price. If so, I won't let THAT one get away (trust me).

In the 1960's, I know Cadillac had used the term Series 62 before the Deville name was re-introduced. And, "75" was used to designate their limo. "Sixty Special" sounds like a holdover from the 1940's - as in, "Gee-wiz, that Sixty Special sure is a swell car!"

Have a 2004 DeVille that has developed a steering problem within the last 18 months. Whenever it rains heavily or the roads are very wet, the steering totally locks up when making turns. No amount of turning will relieve this problem for a few very anxious moments.

2022年8月13日 · Just a short question on the 'normal' coolant temperature on a '67 DeVille after the car has driven about 20 miles. Ever since I replaced the temperature sending unit(a couple of years back) the temp gauge goes to about the half way mark after the car has warmed up. That is also where it stays (with outside temperatures around 85 degrees).

I bought a 2002 Deville w/18,500 mile on it. Oil consumption was terrible. 2 quart in ~200 mile. Was told that the 2002 cadillacs had bad rings and pistons. Cadillac did nothing about a recall.
