Rhûn, also called The East and Eastlands in the Westron tongue, was a large region in far-eastern Middle-earth. It was the home of the Easterlings in the Second and Third Ages. It had many different groups who often fought each other but who were united by Sauron in hatred of the West, and served him in the War of the Rings.

The western part of Rhûn was given in maps of the Westlands of Middle-earth. It contained the great inland Sea of Rhûn, connected to the River Running in the northwest.

2013年1月23日 · Dorwinion is situated in Rhun and this is where the easterlings reside. Four of the seven clans of the dwarves also live there. It is also home to lost Elves such as Avari and Úmanyar.

2020年7月8日 · Map of the Middle-earth. The western side of Rhun could be seen in the maps depicting the Westlands of Middle-earth. This side included the vast Sea of Rhun. The waters from the River Running from northwest flowed into this sea.
