An aulos (plural auloi; [1] Ancient Greek: αὐλός, plural αὐλοί [2]) or tibia was a wind instrument in ancient Greece, often depicted in art and also attested by archaeology.

The aulos is a double pipe with a reed at the top similar to a bassoon, with finger holes in each pipe. Some holes are covered with the fingers while others are covered with a reed slider that changes the scale mode.
