OTOH, most of the shuttle's payload capacity is dedicated to completing ISS. The Saturn V could have lifted all current ISS components (about 1 million lbs) in about 5 missions, probably within 2 years.

2006年12月28日 · Of course the way germans built the Saturn's I would expect if any vehicle would survive ocean impact it would be a Saturn. I would suspect the Gemini 5 first stage tank survived impact because it landed engine first and was still pressurized. It was only the upper oxidizer(?) tank that was recovered intact.
