There now is a MIcrosoft app called Link to Windows. When installed and running on both a Windows computer and an Android or iOS device you can view and operate your mobile device via the PC. This means you can run the Roku remote app on your Windows computer. There is an option to listen to your mobile device's audio on the PC as well.

Yes, The Roku Channel can be viewed directly on those apps. But you can still watch The Roku Channel on a computer. The Roku remote uses WiFi Direct to connect to the Roku, and your PC is not equipped for that protocol. And even if it had it, the Roku remote will only connect to a Roku device. Dan

2023年6月3日 · For whatever reason, I have been completely unsuccessful connecting my Windows 11 laptop to any of my Roku devices. The computer sees the Roku and attempts to connect, but the connection fails and it goes back to the main screen. I just tried a laptop with Windows 10, and it connected just fine. But not with the Windows 11 computer.

And unfortunately there are no other streaming players that offer remote functionality either. Roku no longer offers a Windows application to control a Roku either, so you couldn't even set up a basic computer with remote access.
