MCNP6 Error: "Geometry error: no cell found" - Physics Forums
2024年12月26日 · respected all i am using MCNP6 and i am facing this problem from days and i can not found solution if anyone help me than i am ever grateful to you files are attached ...
Calculating Planar Density for FCC {100}, {110}, {111} - Physics …
2006年10月28日 · The [110] plane is the plane which cuts the unit cell diagonally in half and it looks like a square. There are just 4*1/4 atoms on the corners of the square - a net total of 1 atom inside the square. The length of one of the sides of the plane is a*sqrt(2). Hence the surface density is 1/(a*sqrt(2)) atoms per unit area.
Finding temperature through a manometer - Physics Forums
2010年10月13日 · The mercury manometer shown in the figure is attached to a gas cell. The mercury height h is 120 mm when the cell is placed in an ice-water mixture. The mercury height drops to 30 mm when the device is carried into an industrial freezer. HINT: The right tube of the manometer is much narrower than the left tube.
MCNP6.2 - SDEF on a RCC surface - Physics Forums
2023年4月4日 · Hi everyone, I'm trying to set up a surface neutron source on the surface of a cylinder defined as a macrobody (RCC) and used also to define cell of the system. My aim is setting up a surface source where I'd like to give a specific spectrum (and DIR) at each surface defining the cylinder...
How does laser hair removal work? - Physics Forums
2025年1月5日 · How exactly does laser hair removal work? I have heard it has to do with the hair pigment against skin color contrast. But what about that makes a laser target the hair root? Maybe someone needs to explain how lasers and wavelengths work to me. Does the laser "ignore" the skin and hair above the...
Understanding Galvanic Cells: Zinc and Copper Electrodes Explained"
2014年4月10日 · The "source" of electrons for the inside of the cell, is the sink for electrons outside of the cell. I tended to use the terms positive/negative + plate/electrode just to keep things clear. Lastly, ElmorshedyDr: There's a pretty good wikipedia entry on the LeClanche Cell which has reactions akin to what you're discussing.
Hyperfine structure transition of Cs-133: calculation? - Physics …
2016年5月5日 · I'm looking for the theoretical calculation of the hyperfine structure transition frequency of Ca-133 which is used in atomic clocks to define the second according to SI-Units. Google, Google... there is a lot about the hyperfine Hamiltonian of hydrogen, but couldn't find none about that of...
Molarity given percent solution and density. - Physics Forums
2009年9月11日 · Homework Statement Lactose (C12H22O11; MM=342) is a sugar found in mamalian milk. The density of a 12.0% solution is approximately 1.06 g/mL. What is the molarity, molality, and mole fraction of the solution? Homework Equations M=g/L, m=mol/kg, molefraction=mol/mol?? The Attempt...
Atom Density in Silicon (100), (110), and (111) Planes - Physics …
2012年1月22日 · Atoms per unit cell / (area of the square = Atoms per unit cell/a^2 Where a is the lattice constant. The Attempt at a Solution I've already sketched the planes, but don't know how to find the atom density. I know that silicon has a diamond structured lattice meaning that it has 8 atoms in a square.
MCNP6.2 - Source particle started in a cell of zero importance
2023年3月13日 · If I set instead the importance of the cell 2 equal to 1 the code stops automatically after 10 particles being lost. The particles are actually expected to be lost in passing from a well defined material (the cylinder of cell 1) to a vacuum material like the one of the cell 2. So I'm not much surprised about this.
