Staffs are powerful magical artifacts of Xadia that allow mages to harness the power of a Primal Source, usually through the use of Primal Stones or magic gems. Spell damage is added to instances of magic damage. They’re good, but the weapons have different cast times and animations. The crystal sword and staff can both clip on walls very easily, ball and book are harder to clip, and cast faster but …

I dunno personally, but apparently you can move faster while casting with the book, you can wield a dagger while using the orb, and you can bonk people with the staff. Generally speaking people think the book and orb are better than the staff because of increased versatility.

Staff serves as a not-bad melee weapon, and is quite strong for Cleric and Warlock with Holy Smite or BoC. Also, the raw magic power can be very useful for big heals, or big spell casts at range. (Extra powerful Hydra, Fireball, Lesser Heal, etc).

Staff has a lot of added magic damage, which makes it good for 1shot strats (intense focus chain lightning off of a magic resist barb) or melee magic strats (Blow of Corruption, Smite, Ignite). So physically swinging the crystal sword and hittingan opponent does the phyiscal weapon damage of saod sword AND the magical damage added on as well?

2024年7月20日 · Magic Staff's base weapon dmg is purely physical meaning if you wanted to get the most out of Melt in solos you would actually run it with Magic Staff, Quarterstaff or Rondel Dagger.
