I got my new Equinox on Sept. 26 (build date was about 2 weeks earlier) so I'm guessing I don't have the most recent calibration. I haven't noticed any particular shifting issues, but it seems to me that if GM thinks these new calibrations are better, then it's probably best to upgrade.

Just purchased a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox LS. We were waiting at a stop light, but when the light changed the car did not move. Had to turn off the engine and turn it back on for it to reset so that we could drive again. What if this happened if we were at a busy intersection and got stuck there? It appears to be a manufacturer's defect.

I am so discouraged. We started having problems with our 2010 Equinox almost immediately. In the first year we had problems with the car running rough, which we were repeatedly told was normal for the car, and many small mechanical failures: The rear passenger window motor, the back hatch motor, the seatbelt mechanism, and eventually (just after the warranty expired) the windshield wiper motor.

The 2.4L LE5 on the 2010 malibu is not the same as the equinox LAF engine. Malibu does not have direct injection. The cars with the same engine code as the 2010-2011 equinox are the 2010-2011 buick lacrosse, 2011 buick regal and 2010-2011 gmc terrain

We bought our 2010 Equinox LTZ front-wheel drive 4cyl. brand new in December 2009. We were essentially problem free until we approached 60,000mi. The lumbar support was the first to go--which was replaced under warranty.

Ive had nothing but problems with my chevy equinox. I've had 3 timing belts/water pumps, 2 timing chains prior to my warranty being expired. Now I have excessive oil consumption which they are going to charge me $2900 to repair despite me taking my car into the shop to have this looked at twice in less than a year.
