Use 1" nominal beadboard products or thicker boards for spans of 16" to 24". When using VERSATEX 1/2" Beadboard or 1/2" thick VERSATEX sheet, orient it perpendicular to the joists. Fasten every 12" or less on center and apply construction adhesive to the under side of the rafters. Never span VERSATEX more than 24".
