Accommodation reflex - Wikipedia
The accommodation reflex (or accommodation-convergence reflex) is a reflex action of the eye, in response to focusing on a near object, then looking at a distant object (and vice versa), comprising coordinated changes in vergence, lens shape (accommodation) and pupil size.
Eye accommodation - All About Vision
2021年4月5日 · Accommodation happens when your eyes require near vision — especially for reading. Find out why accommodation is important and how to solve near-vision problems.

2022年11月15日 · The accommodation reflex is the visual response for focusing on near objects. It also has the name of the accommodation-convergence reflex or the near reflex. It is synkinesis, which consists of the convergence of both eyes, contraction of the ciliary muscle resulting in a change in lens shape (accommodation), and pupillary constriction.
Ocular Accommodation - Refraction - Neurology
2023年10月20日 · It comprises of three separate processes: accommodation reaction, convergence and miosis, collectively known as the near triad. Let’s discuss each component of the near triad: Accommodation reaction – as the object moves closer to the eye, the refractive power of the eye needs to be increased for a clear image to be formed on the retina.
Accommodation Reflex - an overview | ScienceDirect Topics
The accommodation reflex (or near response) is a three-part reflex that brings near objects into focus through lens thickening, pupillary constriction, and inward rotation of the eyes—eye convergence. The ciliary bodies anchor suspensory ligaments, collectively called zonule, which stretch the lens and alter its refractive power.
Accommodation of Eye- Everything you need to know
2024年2月25日 · Accommodation is the mechanism by which the eye changes refractive power by altering the shape of lens in order to focus objects at variable distances. Position of an object when its image clearly falls on retina with no accommodation. Nearest point clearly seen with maximum accommodation. Distance between far point and near point.
Eye Accommodation: How Our Eyes Focus - MyVision.org
2022年5月3日 · Eye accommodation is when the eyes adjust their optical power to maintain an object in focus in the retina at varying distances. The process is achieved primarily by the lens changing its shape when focusing shifts from distant to near object and vice versa.
NRA/PRA – Negative Relative Accommodation & Positive Relative ...
2024年8月26日 · When Minus lens is introduced before eyes, rays focus behind the retina and accommodation gets stimulated to bring back the rays on the retina, thus it’s called Positive Relative Accommodation. When Plus lens is introduced before eyes, rays focus in front of the retina and accommodation needs to relax to bring back the rays on the retina ...
Methods for the study of near, intermediate vision, and accommodation ...
2019年1月1日 · We present a critical overview of contemporary methods and metrics used to measure near vision, intermediate vision, and accommodation, aiming to provide clinical practitioners and investigators studying accommodation, presbyopia, and presbyopia surgery with uniform, updated standard test protocols and guidance on the role of discretionary ...
Understanding Eye Accommodation: What Does It Mean?
Accommodation of the eye, or eye accommodation, is the eye’s extraordinary ability to modify the focal length of the lens by changing the curvature of the eye lens. Accommodation allows the eye to adjust focus from seeing things at a distance and “tune” itself to seeing nearer objects.
