2009年6月12日 · The final analog sign-off of New York's NBC station, WNBC. This is rumored to be originally for signing off during an Emergency Action Notification under the Emergency Broadcast System, most likely during the event of a nuclear war.

On June 26th, 2009, WNBC (TV) channel 4, New York, terminated its analog transmission. The station ceased regular analog programming on the channel on June 12, 2009 at 12:30PM, as mandated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Two weeks later, the nightlight and signal were terminated, with a closing sequence.
