Whenever you add a boot WIM to SCCM, a copy of the file will be created. SCCM will never touch the file you supplied. It will modify its copy, and that is what will be added to the content library. If, for example, you supply X.wim, SCCM will create a copy named X.PKGID.wim. You should never, ever, touch this copy or even make any reference to it.

In Win 8 Dev disc loadup I chose Repair and chose Restore Win 7 and it auto restored my Win 7 OS. It could not have been fully restored from my hardisk System backup image, as the restore process only took about 30 sec and my files were current.
