TREX2 - Wikipedia
Three prime repair exonuclease 2 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the TREX2 gene. [5] [6] This gene encodes a protein with 3' exonuclease activity. Enzymes with this activity are involved in DNA replication, repair, and recombination.
Measuring TREX1 and TREX2 exonuclease activities - PubMed
In this chapter, we describe methods to purify variant recombinant TREX1 enzymes and measure the exonuclease activity using ssDNA and dsDNA substrates. The relationships between TREX1 activities, types of TREX1 mutations, and TREX1-associated autoimmune diseases …
Structure and Function of the TREX-2 Complex - PubMed
The Three prime repair exonuclease 2 (TREX-2) complex functions as a platform to which many of the components of the nuclear mRNA processing machinery bind, facilitating integration of this phase of the gene expression pathway, as well as mediating the re …
Measuring TREX1 and TREX2 exonuclease activities - PMC
Three-prime Repair Exonuclease (TREX1) degrades ssDNA and dsDNA. TREX1 localizes to the perinuclear space in cells and degrades cytosolic DNA to prevent aberrant nucleic acid sensing and immune activation in humans and mice.
Structure and Expression of the TREX1 and TREX2 3′→5′ Exonuclease …
The TREX1 and TREX2 genes encode mammalian 3′→5′ exonucleases. Expression of the TREX genes in human cells was investigated using a reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction strategy. Our results show that TREX1 and TREX2 are expressed in all tissues tested, providing direct evidence for the expression of these genes in human cells.
Biochemical and cellular characteristics of the 3′ → 5′ exonuclease TREX2
2007年4月10日 · TREX2 is an autonomous nonprocessive 3′ → 5′ exonuclease, suggesting that it maintains genome integrity. To investigate TREX2's biochemical and cellular properties, we show that endogenous TREX2 is expressed widely in mouse tissues and human cell lines.
Biochemical and cellular characteristics of the 3' -> 5' exonuclease TREX2
TREX2 is an autonomous nonprocessive 3' --> 5' exonuclease, suggesting that it maintains genome integrity. To investigate TREX2's biochemical and cellular properties, we show that endogenous TREX2 is expressed widely in mouse tissues and human cell lines.

This gene encodes a nuclear protein with 3' to 5' exonuclease activity. The encoded protein participates in double-stranded DNA break repair, and may interact with DNA Polymerase delta. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2012]

Structural insights into the duplex DNA processing of TREX2
2018年10月24日 · Our structural and biochemical analyses demonstrate that TREX2 contains a catalytic DEDDh exonuclease domain, which binds and processes duplex DNA in a unique way. TREX2 removes the single stranded 3′-overhang precisely and the processing is blocked by double strand structure resulted in dsDNA product without 3′-overhang.
