The 2017 season will mark the fourth for Gareth Tomlinson as an assistant coach with the PLNU men's soccer program. His duties with the team include scouting, recruiting, game planning and player development.

The 2019 season is Gareth Tomlinson's second as an assistant coach with the University of California San Diego men's soccer program. During his first season in 2018, Tomlinson helped guide the Tritons to an overall record of 13-4-2. The team made its sixth-consecutive California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Tournament appearance.

Gareth Tomlinson - UC San Diego Gareth is entering his first season as UCSD assistant following successful spells at Azusa Pacific and Point Loma where he helped lead both programs to their first NCAA tournament appearance.

Gareth Tomlinson enters his second season with the Azusa Pacific men’s soccer coaching staff. A 2010 graduate, Tomlinson played for the Cougars from 2007 to 2010, starting at defender in ’08 and ’09, and was a member of the 2007 NAIA National Championship team.
