2014年7月7日 · After a few months the MMCX connection started cutting out. A new cable didn't help. Googling around showed plenty of other people, having issues with MMCX connectors on different brands. There's still new IEM's with MMCX coming to the market, but the connector looks quite a bit different. Maybe I got scared.

The original Shure cable failed in 2016. The cable was replaced with a 3rd party (Fiio) cable which was working fine until about a month ago.

2012年8月19日 · Greetings, I have a similar problem but with an Urbanfun. whose female mmcx connector broke the central pin. I'm seriously considering soldering it permanently ( solder them with tin) . with a new mmcx cable that I will use any suggestions.

I was wondering if anyone knew if it was doable/easy to replace the MMCX connector on the earbud itself. have a pair of SE846 and something happened to the MMCX connector on one of them.

2020年3月9日 · I have successfully MMCX balanced my TH-X00 with these connectors. The only fiddly bit for me was trying to solder the grounds to the connector - I just wrapped the wire around the thread and tightened the nut on it. Balancing makes the sound tighter, a little clearer but very enjoyable. I have terminated the original cable with MMCX connectors.

2019年11月3日 · There is also the strange MMCX connector from Obravo with a slit on the outside part or ring. It is a MMCX where the cable can't spin free. I hated this thing on my Obravo Cupid. I grinded down until the slit disappeared, so you can use a normal mmcx.

2020年7月29日 · MMCX and 2 pin are the commonest for the budget/midfi segment. MMCX is kinda universal, and there's only one way to connect it (compared to 2 pin connectors which some folks may connect in the wrong way and reverse the polarity, resulting in an out of phase music).
