Great Scenic Railway Journeys is an Emmy Award-winning series on KPBS.

Great Scenic Railway Journeys is an Emmy Award Winning Public Television series that profiles some of the worlds most historic and scenic tourist railways. The popular series is produced by Emmy Award winning producer and director Robert C. Van Camp and is hosted by Grammy Award winning musician and story teller David Holt.

“Celebrating North America’s Steam Railways,” a two-hour PBS sprcial captures the nostalgia, excitement and passion that ordinary people feel for these important links to our past. The program, which just received three Emmy’s, is the latest installment of the Emmy Award-winning series, “Great Scenic Railway Journeys.”

In addition to making numerous critically acclaimed recordings, Holt is host of popular television programs including the PBS series David Holt’s State of Music, Folkways and Great Scenic Railway Journeys.
