It does look like southern Wisconsin will not only stay wetter than normal over the next week or so but our temperatures may be cooling down as we near the middle of February.

Before European colonization, it was estimated that Wisconsin was home to more than 2 million acres of grasslands, namely prairie and oak savanna found largely in the southern part of the state.
