Some of the bodies of migrants found in two mass graves in Libya bore gunshot wounds, the International Organization for Migration said on Monday, adding that one of the sites is thought to contain up to 70 bodies.

Libya authorities uncovered nearly 50 bodies this week from two mass graves in the country’s southeastern desert, officials said Sunday, in the latest tragedy involving people seeking to reach Europe through the chaos-stricken North African country.

Libya's security authorities recovered at least 28 bodies of migrants from a mass grave in the desert in southeast Libya, the country's attorney general said on its Facebook page on Sunday.
