Is this a dog friendly walking trail? (Eg few instances of sheep!) My dog goes crazy when he sees any sheep so I try to avoid taking him anywhere where they will be throughout the whole walk. We could manage if just a small section had sheep roaming, or if they were behind fences and not on the actual trail.

When we walked it a few weeks ago there were lots of sheep and we walked through the fields albeit at the edge. There are strips of the trail that are on roads and tracks but I think it unlikely you will see much of the actual trail. It’s pretty forgettable. Malham Cove would be a better walk :)
