Hello, I want to do some hiking solo around the park in particular the lakes. I wanted to check what sort of danger there is in terms of wildlife, in particular, snakes? I am petrified of them and wonder the chances of seeing any. Thank you!

In 10 plus visits to Slovenia we have not seen snakes nor bears . Seen mountain goats, fox etc .

I stayed in Ljubljana and made a day trip. If you are staying at the park you will find it busy in August... But accommodation can be found in private AirBnB - just choose something close …
