I would recommend a 4X4 vehicle if you plan on driving to the beach. It's a dirt road and on the way back it can be difficult going uphill. If you don't mind walking then you can do the trekking which is about 5K from Cueva de Las Aguilas. Hope this helps.

When we passed by and stopped at Cabo Rojo, we didn't see any boats…but that doesn't necessarily mean that there weren't any there. To be sure of getting to Bahia de Las Aguilas, drive to the 'Entrada' Parque Jaragua and use the local 'Asociacion' to take you. Paid RD$2,200 for three (by ourselves)…which was not too dissimilar to the RD$2,000 that we paid four years earlier. If you travel from the 'Entrada', you will need to pay an extra RD$150 per person for Parque entry. Ate at Doña Charo’s after the trip. Organised before we went for two hours to La Bahia. Shared two meals (RD$1,000 in total) between three because the portions were generous. Pescado (dorado) frito with moro, and grilled chicken with rice and beans were excellent. Drinks were paid separately…took cash for this entire trip.
